PHH MOSAICS

Welcome to my world of fine art Mosaics by Pam Hall.
I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.  I've not only traveled around the USA, but have lived in Nigeria, The Netherlands, Doha, Qatar and in Kuala Belait, Brunei. I now live in North Carolina, USA.

While living in The Netherlands, I studied tile mosaics at a private art studio in Den Haag.  I also attended classes for glass mosaics in Amsterdam. After venturing into the world of stained glass, I discovered that I could capture so much more in an art creation in glass than in tile.  Glass is made in every imaginable color, thereby allowing more expression and movement.

Creating a mosaic is a combination of mental planning, while keeping my mind open for change throughout the design stage. Carefully choosing the shape each hand cut piece will take. The challenge of how to make water look reflective or conversely transparent, how to create depth, how to give the viewer the feeling that colors are blending together; these are all things that make this such an exciting medium to create.

I have created many garden sculptures, functional and decorative mosaics, 2D and 3D mosaics. My mosaics are held in private collections in many countries around the world. To name a few, they can be found in the USA, Canada, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Qatar, Brunei, New Zealand and Australia.

I continue to teach classes in mosaics, and I continue to learn from my students. I have taught students of all levels, and some with no art experience at all. I taught Mosaic Art at Virginia Commonwealth University campus in Doha, Qatar.

Please join me in a class and experience what a joy creating art can be. You may just surprise yourself!
